As a thread, first post could be a big tidier (there's nothing with copy and pasting articles from Serebii).

Anyway, more to the point. Yes, I'm really looking forward to this. Gold and Silver were awesome Pokémon games so I'm expecting the remakes to be just as good if not, better!

Oh definate yes, the 2nd generation was my most favourite generation, and I'm glad they're remaking it with 4th generation mechanics cause I tend to struggle getting into Diamond & Pearl.

No thanks. I'm not sure if I even want to play a NEW Pokemon game now - I've played them to death; owned nearly every single game (from the main series, including counterparts); and wasted many many hours on this tired series.

I'll be buying SoulSilver, and my sister's going to HeartGold. I loved Crystal, though some of the mechanics not in there after playing 4th Gen games was a bit of a letdown, but HGSS looks to put right my negative points.

Ah, the memories of playing Silver. I used to sit at the top of the stairs with some stuffed Pokemon toys and play it for hours on my Game Boy Color.
It's HeartGold I'm getting. I still don't know what my starter Pokemon will be though...

I hate the art style of modern Pokemon games and i don't find them as enjoyable as they used to be back in the gb/gbc days...

These games are making me feel really old! I remember getting the originals a bit before European release, due to be Uncle going on a business trip to the US. I have about 250 hours on my Diamond, I finished the Pokedex (without using the GTS) and EV training 3 of my team before getting bored and moving onto something else.

Both are awesome, but I think I prefer Ho-ohs, it really fits the fact you fight it in the Tin Tower, which is in Eucretuek City

For some reason the Lugia one reminds me of the R/G/B Rival Champion boss theme

A US release date is set at 14th March 2010. Judging from this I think a UK release may be around May or June.
